i-Boating: Marine Charts & Gps App Reviews

Its one of the few apps on AppStore that provides bathymetry maps for both freshwater lakes and coast. The app has amazing vector graphics and excellent GPS features. It shows a bread crumb for the current track and also a dotted arrow for where you are headed. This makes it really easy to avoid hazards and shallow waters.

I had accidentally disabled GPS on my device and was unable to figure out how to enable it back. The support was very patient in troubleshooting the issue and providing detailed step by step instructions to resolve it.

New to boating I wanted a program easy and powerful. This does it. First map free is great. All I need for general boating and fishing around south Florida, I can now carry with me and work on my next adventures and fishing trips.

Just got a it a few days ago and looks pretty nice. One thing that I would like to see add is the ability to switch to Apple and Google maps to see exactly where places are at and how to get there by car. Excellent tool for those of us who trailer boats!

I just used this app to get a 36 lobster boat to a haul out Id never been too, up a river that Id never been up. Towards the end it gets quite narrow and shallow. I used this app as a backup for the boats electronics and was amazed at the detail of the depth soundings over my own equipment as well as the location accuracy. Great app. Id recommend to anyone. And its free.....

I purchased this app so that I could use it on Lake Wateree in SC. Too bad the east central part of South Carolina has no lakes shown on the app at all. Guess Ill have to get a regular marine GPS.
